I was so so frustrated yesterday at work!!!  Came in today and the frustration continued!

I truly thought that I would hit my head on the wall when I heard another voice mail message without name or phone number to call back.

Why people leave messages on the voice mail and don't leave their name and phone number???

It goes like this:  “I got your phone # from so and so, I got this problem, or I have a question, call me back as soon as you can, bye.”

People!!! NO ONE CAN recognize your name and phone number by your voice on the voice mail system!!!!!!
Our work phones have caller ID that shows only phone number only at the time someone calls, it does not get saved anywhere.

How can I call them back if I don’t know who they are and how to contact them!!!!  rrrrrgh (4 times from 4 different ppl yesterday!!!!+ one more today!!!!).

I checked my voice mail setting and yes, my recording specifically tells people to clearly state their name and # in two languages!!!

Please, if you leave someone message DO NOT FORGET TO TELL YOUR NAME (clearly) and YOUR PHONE #!!!

Thank you! Yes, it is time for a weekend!!! It was a very intense work week, next one would be the same but after that it should slow down for about a month. How was your week? What did you do who did you meet?

People assume that you can refer back to a missed calls menu to get the number, as there are phones that can do that. Mine, however, doesn't have that feature.

If I'm calling someone I know doesn't have my number, I *always* say my phone number. Slowly. Chivalry is not dead. :-D

:)Yes, our phones don't have such features, these are network phones, not cell phones. I see abt 100 new clients a months +abt the same amnt of returning clients, when they call me they think that I remember them by just hearing their voice. That is another observation that people are super self-centered.

I used to work in the dental office and our answering machine clearly asked NOT to leave messages with questions, but call back during regular hours. Mostly because it is impossible to leave an answer. But people would leave the longest messages with the most complicated questions and then when you call them back they never pick up their phones.
People just don't listen to instructions, I used to get annoyed.

Yes, it is very annoying when people hear only themselves. I am Ok if they ask question, as long as they leave # to call back and name to check on their case.
