I got this e-mail from a friend about importance of right timing to drink water. I looked on the internet to see where it is coming from and did not find any official health/medical or research sites. It was mostly people like I am posting it in their blogs and on some weird looking pages with a lot of ads.
The idea sounds reasonable, so I am posting it here for myself to remember and for others who didn’t know.
Drinking water at the correct time maximizes its effectiveness on the Human body:
2 glasses of water after waking up helps activate internal organs
1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal - helps digestion
1 glass of water before taking a bath - helps lower blood pressure
1 glass of water before going to bed - avoids stroke or heart attack
To say the truth, I have noticed that drinking water in the morning really helps feel better. Ever since I started taking my thyroid medication, it needs to be taken in the morning with a full glass of water, I started feeling more energetic has never felt lightheaded in the morning as I used to before. It might be the medication effect too, but I don't think it starts to work so fast...
Also, I just noticed that on some websites they said that 2 glasses of water before meal instead of in the morning. I think if I take at least a glass that would be plenty enough, considering that I don’t drink that many glasses a day at all.
Would tea without sugar count as a cup of water?
