I was at a baby shower, where one young mom told me that she doesn't want to spoil her 3 year old son by cuddling up with him. I, very politely, told her that there is no such thing as spoiling a child by love and cuddling.
I have heard such advices too when Mishka was born, "don't hold him, or you will spoil him." What a nonsense!!! One can not spoil by providing parental emotional warmth!!! Why do we have these advices??? For some reason, we tend to do it with boys more than with girls. Boys are the ones that need even more of emotional support when they are growing up. And we take this silly advice? No wonder men are having issues being man.
