ahkaNo time for computer or LJ. I have been cooking, drawing, reading and spending time with kids instead of spending the time in the virtual world of Face Book, LJ and e-mails. I leave computer stuff at work.
On Saturday night I took Michelle to a concert by Okee Dokee brothers at children’s bookstore The Wild Rumpus. I have never been there before and it is actually pretty far away from our house but I was planning to meet with a friend and her little son there, so I took Michelle while my husband took Mishka to hockey practice. We came late for the concert but still had a lot of fun. There were a lot of kids with their parents. Singers were adorable and fun. The bookstore has a lot of animals in the cages like parrots, chickens, chinchillas, rats and a cat. Of course, there are plenty of books and games and toys. It is a small but very cute store with a character. In the crowd we found our friends and hangout at the bookstore after the concert was over.
On Sunday morning, I took Mishka to his Sunday school and went to meet with one of my friends from SLP community at a coffee shop. We had a great time talking. I met two women who went to Israel on a similar trip in May. It was fun hanging out with them.
After I picked up Mishka we came home and had our friend with Mishelka’s girlfriend Anechka over. It was adorable to watch them play. They made me think that we should go someplace warm. Michelle took off all her clothes except of her undies. She got blanket and gave one to her girlfriend. They put blankets on the floor in the family room and went to the kitchen pretending that kitchen floor is a sea and they are swimming. After they had enough of imaginary swimming they would lie down on the blankets and enjoy the imaginary sun. It is actually kind of cold in our house but Michelle refused to put clothes on. After guests left, she took off her underwear too and was running totally naked.
Holidays are coming. We are invited to a Shabath party this Friday, on Tuesday we are invited to a Chanukah party, next Friday we are invited to another Chanukah party and Shabath and on Saturday is our friend’s birthday party and then next Tuesday kids are invited to a kid party, then New Years and I already need to plan birthday party for Michelle in January. My head is spinning from all of the plans…
