ahka | 1st grader Talent show

Today, 1^st graders at Michael’s school are having a talent show. The request to fill out forms with talent numbers came about 2 months ago. I requested time off from work and also made an appointment to see eye doctor after the concert.

I tried to make Michael participate in the show. He could do break dancing, sing, can read poems (in Russian and English and interpret), tell stories, or show kung fu moves. He kept refusing all ideas and at one point I gave up asking and talking about it.

So, last week I got a weekly newsletter from Michael’s teacher that said that they moved the talent show an hour later. Originally it was supposed to be at 1pm for about 45 minutes (so I scheduled my dr. appointment at 3pm since I would have plenty of time left.) Now, the show starts at 2pm instead.

Ok, I thought on Thursday, I can skip this show since Michael doesn’t want to be in it anyway.

So, this morning he suddenly decided to participate in the show and started loudly crying that he is going to be in the show! I asked him: “What are you going to do?” He said: “I will juggle!” I asked him if he knows how to juggle. He said: “Yes!”

Of course he can’t juggle, may be just in his mind. Anyway, I had a fun morning. I will take my half day off anyway and I will go see my eye doc.

The weather changes makes me so sleepy and lazy!!!
