Thunderstorms

Last night we had terrible thunderstorms in our area.  The thunder was so loud and kept repeating over and over again and the lightning was so bright and so often I was scared.  In the evening, we got into the thunderstorm while driving, by the time we got home it was over.  In a few hours new thunderstorms started again and woke Michelle up. 

I might have sleep through the night and wouldn’t even noticed the storm if it was not for Michelle.  Poor girl got scared.  As soon as I took her into my bed she fell asleep and was relatively calm.  I was lying next to her and was pretty scared hearing the loud noises and feeling the house shake from time to time. 

I have heard that there was a meteor shower that night and many different thoughts came through my mind hearing those very loud thunder sounds.  I was thinking that the meteors falling down to Earth, then I thought that it sounds like a war zone with shooting tanks.  I was surprised that we didn’t have tornado siren.

Today at work many of my co-workers reported that they had tornado sirens and they went to the basement.  I guess tornadoes went by our area South East.

We have been having thunderstorm almost every other night.  I hope it doesn’t get worse than this.

It is time to go home and it just started pouring raining here.  My umbrella as usually is in my car.  So, I will wait until the rain will stop.
