I was waiting for this weekend last week with hope to get some sleep that got lost when Michelle kept me up every night.  On Saturday, it was my morning to get some sleep and I was in bed until 10:30am (I think I would've slept longer).  Then we planned to go to the Independence Lake for a picnic.  Finally, by about 1pm we made it to the lake.  The weather was ideal for such picnic.  Two more families with kids joined us.

We grilled, ate, boys played in the water, swim, we talked and I played with Michelle.

I took Michelle to the beach for the first time and she did not like it.  I just put her down to stand on the shore of the lake as she started screaming like someone was torturing her.  I had to pick her up and get away from the water.

After the picnic we went over my parents' for a dinner.  It was as always very delicious.  After food we went for a long walk on the trails to the Medicine Lake playground.  Michael and his friend Samy rode bikes while we walked.  Michelle fell asleep in the stroller.  It was a beautiful day, but I was exhausted.

On Sunday, both Michael and Michelle woke me up at 6:30am.  By 9am we were in the car driving to the MN Zoo to meet my friend Jenny with her kids.  We have been planning this outing for a long time.  Actually, we planned to go to our small Como Zoo but Jenny told me that there would be a lot of people at the Como and it is better to go to MN Zoo.  I agreed.

MN Zoo is large and we took kids to the MN Trail, part of Russia’s Grizzly Coast, let kids play at the Grizzly  Coast water area and then watch the show by MN West African drum and dance company.  Jenny’s kids are 4 and 3 mine are 6 and 1.  Kids seemed to enjoy the activities throughout the day.  I enjoyed being in a good company and see interesting things.  I was very tired by the time I got home with the kids. It was very hot and once we got home, it started raining.   I had to take a nap after that full day.

On Monday, I had a lot of ideas about what to do.  It ended up a shopping day.  Boris and I dropped kids at my parents’ house.  They wanted to go on the boat but it did not happen because there were so many boats that park didn’t let them in.  So, they ended up just spending time on the beach.

Boris and I went to Ridgedale Mall first.  I went shopping in Express with all of my coupons and gift certificates  and he went to Sears get garage opener.  I got bunch of clothing for work and leisure.  Then we went to Sam’s Club to for food shopping for us and my mom.  We went to the St. Louis Park Sam’s club.  This was my first time there since they opened a new building.  The way they rebuilt it looked like it is Costco.  Everything inside was planned just like in Costco.

By the time we got to Sam’s Club, Boris and I were getting hungry.  We realized that shopping for food on a hungry stomach is very pricy.  We got so much stuff!!!  We have not shopped there on this amount of money, mostly for food, ever.

After shopping we went over my parents’ house to drop off their shopping.  We ended up getting our food that needed to be refrigerated in their refrigerator and spent there several hours until Michelle woke up from a long nap.

By the time we got home and put our shopping away it was after 6pm.  We ate dinner and went to our playground.

I was hoping that I would put kids to bed at 9pm and will have a few hours to work on papa’s video.  Finally, Boris got the software and installed it on a normal powerful computer.  Last night I transferred all of the files and was all set to start putting it together again.

Unfortunately, Michelle kept me next to her room for over an hour.  Poor baby, there are several more teeth that are coming out.  I would say that by the end of June, she will have full mouth of teeth.  I hope she would let me sleep this night though…

It was a nice weekend with the family.  I got somewhat drained.  Look forward to peace and quite at work tomorrow.
