Gloomy thougts...

Michelle’s sleeping pattern had changed; she goes to bed at 10:30 and sleeps until 7am.  Boris continues to put her in bad and that has been working well.  So, it means that I have been sleeping full nights too.  I don’t go to bed earlier then 11:30 and some mornings have difficult time getting off the bed.

This morning I woke up OK, on autopilot made breakfast for Michael and warmed up milk for Michelle.  Took shower, got dressed, changed Michelle’s diaper, dressed her, packed lunch, made sure Michael is ready for school, drove kids to the daycare, got to work and….

Once I got to work, my brain got really slow and low.  My morning clients canceled appointments.  I started working on my paperwork (which is super boring).  I have a few projects to work on but my brain is not ready for that kind of work.

So, now I am trying to tune up, I hope my head will start working better as the day goes forward.  So, I tried to clean my head now by just writing everything that is on my mind.  There is a lot of gloom...

 

I have been so excited about our trip and still excited.  I get these negative thoughts that keep invading me that something will go wrong.  I should stop those thoughts immediately!!!  Well, some things already started going wrong way.  

Thank G-d!!! The chain of events pointed out that we need visas for our trip and that I looked at Boris’ passport and looked at all Brazilian rules about visa.  Boris’ passport was supposed to expire in August of this year.  However, Brazilians wouldn’t give visa if passport expires within 6 months of the trip.  So, on Thursday night I told Boris about visa and his passport.  He was very angry because that would add up more expenses.  On Friday, I bagged him to take the passport to the service center and renew it.  After expressing more of his anger over the phone, he actually went and renewed his passport.  It should arrive hopefully at the end of March, so we will have plenty of time for the visa. 

I thought that it was actually good that he had to renew his passport now, because other wise, he would not have renewed it after it expired in August.  But now, he will have his passport for the next 10 years! VICTORY!!!

Then, my car broke and it seems that I need to get rid of it as soon as possible and get a new one.  So, it means more expenses.  Well, I don’t mind getting new car as long as we have enough income to pay for it.  In a meanwhile, I am driving Yulya’s car and even thinking that it is great that we did not sell it yet. 

In addition, my favorite Sony Digital Camera broke too.  I hope we can fix it or we would need to get a new one.  I am not sure which option is better.  Well, new and better camera would be good.  I should look into my credit card points and get some gift certificates towards my new camera!  Just spoke with Boris and he agreed.  He also added that he can get me same camera cheap from eBay, since I already have the batteries, cords and memory card.

Now, my friend just reminded me about the taxes.  We have not filed taxes yet and I know that this year most likely there will be no returns but more expenses since Boris was on unemployment last year.

Another problems is I will have to figure out how to convince Boris spend more money on interesting tours while we are in Brazil.  I will wait until our immediate expanses are taken care of before bringing up this conversation.  I learned that to go see Iguaza Falls, we would need to fly there from Rio that means more expenses.  I guess, it would be OK if we don’t make it there.  There is a lot to see in Rio.  Hm... well, we will have visa for 5 years, so maybe we could come back to see the falls next time.

Ok, I am getting better now.  It seems that everything is not as gloomy as I had it in my head.

Don't forget, this year you will have more deductions because you had a new baby. But yes, if Boris didn't pay the taxes off unemployment, you will have to pay them now
