I am still working on the first week assignments http://za-me4toj.livejournal.com/3277.html and I see that I need more practice.  Since I don’t have time to draw during the day I do it before bed, late at night.  Here are two more pictures that I drew.
There were assignments to draw our hand, a person, an object and at least one of the upside down pictures on their page.
So, here is an object:

Here is the upside down drawing, only I flipped it here:

I found that I get impatient with complicated objects.  Doing the upside down drawing irritated me.  I did it anyway but it is clear that I wasn’t into doing it for some reason.   However, the Kleenex box I really enjoyed drawing.  I guess, I need to practice more with some simple objects.

I wish I had time to seat and draw all I want without any interruptions and guilt feelings that something else is not getting done.

The upside-down exercise is a great way to break a person from drawing what they *think* something is *supposed* to look like, and break it down into its component shapes, which is the foundation of all figurative drawing. Keep up the good work!
