July 2nd 2010 will be sadly memorable...
Jul. 2nd, 2010 06:51 pmMichael's birthday started slowly for him and early for me. I woke up early with Michelle, we went to the store to get flowers for my mom and party stuff for Michael's birthday. Then we drove over my parents to say happy birthday to my mom and give her the gift. We got her Sony video camera with 120GB hard drive memory. It should be easy to operate.
After that Michelle and I drove to St. Louis Park to get Kosher cakes for the celebration. After that I called Boris and Boris said that Michael was still sleeping. I was kind of worried that it was already about 10am and he was still in bed. Usually he wakes up at 6 or 7am. I called doctor and spoke with nurse. She suggested that we would see a doctor and do some blood work. So I made an appointment for him to see a doctor.
At about 1pm we went to the park for Michael's camp's picnic and his birthday party. Michael was not feeling well in the car and was not feeling well at the lake. He did not even take a bite of his cake. He was lying on the bench. After the party we dropped Boris and Michelle at home and went to the doctor.
At the doctor we spent over 2 hours while they were doing various tests. All of the tests showed that he is fine. That is good, only I don't know what to do to make him feel better. Doctor said it is a VIRUS and will go away. I was so tired. Michael fell asleep in my lap while doctor was getting test results. He is not a little boy anymore and it was not easy to hold him.
Poor boy! I am so worried, I don't know how to make him better. It is day 9 of his illness. He has never been sick this long ever before.
In the evening my parents-in-law came over and said that I need to give him antibiotic. I found a bottle of antibiotics that I got several months ago that didn't have to finish. So, we Tried to give it to Michael in various forms and he kept spitting it out. I guess something actually got in anyway.
My mother-in-law was very mad that doctors didn't give him any antiviral medication and she told me that I must refuse to pay for the Dr. visits. I am not sure if that's possible and what will come out of it. I am not up for the fight. I just want Michael get healthy again.
