Labor Day 2010

I don’t like long weekends when we have no plans. This one was one of them. It was real labor day for me. I have been laboring alas working most of the time. When I am at home, there is no end to home work and taking care of kids: cooking, cleaning, washing dishes, laundry, changing diapers, entertaining kids, cleaning, etc....
I was trying to take a break and hide a few times to read a book, but it didn’t work for long. Michelle got really independent now and just quietly wonders around the house in search of mommy.
This morning I dropped kids at my mom and went to meet and listen to Rav Polonsky pinchas It was somewhat short lecture and the first part was a little over my head. I will write about it separately. I bought one of his books and got his autograph. I like that he is looking for new ways and new understandings of Torah and traditions. He also appreciates all information that is given rather then opposing it right away as many do. I was even questioning if he is considered a trivial persona amongst traditional religious Jews because of his accepting views.
After the lecture I went to pick up kids and got stock at my parents house as usually. I also had a flat tire. Eventually, Mishka talked me into taking him to the pool at our community center. I agreed to do it only without Michelle. I had about 1.5 hr to read my book while he was playing in the water. I am somewhat frustrated because I am reading 4 books at the same time and absolutely have no time to finish at least one of them.
