Apr. 11th, 2013 09:07 pmAs a trying member of Netflix, I got a recommendation to watch movie First Position. It is a documentary about young ballet dancers. It begins with the story of Aran Bell, 11 year old boy, who loves ballet. He showed some of the equipment that he uses for his ballet training. One of the examples was foot strengthening metal thing (I don't know what it's called). He said something very profound that really stuck in my mind. He said: "I have to do this exercise until I can't do it anymore AND after that I must do it 5 more times!"
So, if we want something, we must work hard and put even more effort then we can. I recovered the term laziness in my vocabulary. It may not be "politically correct" but it is true. A lot of people are just simply lazy, they seat and complain about their bad fortune instead of doing something about it. Our kids often default into lazy mode too.
