Diary of a Wimpy Kid books

ahkaLast week when we went to Macy's holiday display show, we ended up at the gift store. We told our little girls that it was a museum, so they can't touch anything. I couldn't fool Mishka, he knew it was a store. He immediately found stuff that he needed. One of the things was a book "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" It was way overpriced there but I was impressed that my boy who just a few months ago hated reading asks me to buy him a book!
Of course, I didn't get that book at that store but when I got home I found on amazon set of 4 books with free shipping only for $30 while everywhere else it was $50+ and shipping. So, I ordered those books. Michael somehow knew all about those books and colors. He even told me about a purple one that came out recently. I knew that purple is not part of the set. I thought that he will be disappointed that purple book is not there. I told him that I ordered books only yesterday and luckily, they arrived today.
He had been reading all evening, then I got home after work and teaching ballet, even though I was tired, he asked me to read it to him and I agreed. Then he read it to us. He could not stop reading!!! Finally, my boy found books he enjoys. The book is funny and Mishka has a lot in common with the author.
I don't know if someone can recommend other books that kids enjoy reading?
